In recent years, ISO / IEC 17025 has become an international benchmark for testing, as well as for calibration laboratories that provide more reliable and reliable results. The International Standard, published jointly with ISO and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), contains requirements that allow laboratories to expand their ability to provide reliable results.


Many experts believe that this standard is best suited for digital forensic laboratories simply because there is currently no other international standard for digital forensics. ISO 17025 does not provide better performance, but at least it sets minimum quality standards that must be met to ensure that all laboratories at least begin on equal terms.

This article is intended to provide information on ISO 17025. This accreditation of ISO 17025 will influence how digital forensic medical examinations are conducted in the future and by whom around the world.
