    Hackers use office document software for attacks

    You probably heard about Kaspersky Lab. Specialists of this laboratory have discovered the function of popular software for creating documents. It uses a malicious application that is activated when you open a simple office document, and sends data to the attacker. According to these data, you can understand what type of exploit they should use to hack the target device.

     


    Previously, Kaspersky Lab conducted a study that showed which the parameter that is responsible for specifying the location of images used in the document can be changed by intruders through complex manipulation of the code and to make a report on the document on the web page belonging to the threat actor.
